BIOGRAPHY

Steven Solorio has been throwing functional pottery and creating ceramic artwork for over 18 years. He honed his skills during a working apprenticeship with a world-renowned Master Potter. Solorio is well known for creating one-of-a-kind pieces and inventing retail-ready ceramic lines for the garden industry and gift stores. Solorio Pottery is functional and durable with natural colors and clean shapes. Our wheel-thrown pieces vary slightly in shape and size with visible throw lines revealing the handmade nature of our pottery.

Besides the small chain of pottery stores he has owned and operated, his work has been featured in art galleries in Northern California and along the Pacific Coast. Solorio's work has also been featured in juried art shows in Northern California, the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Southern Oregon. Locally Solorio can be found selling art pieces at the Redding Farmers Market  Solorio has been a member and on the board of both the North Valley Art League and the Shasta Arts Council.
